INSTRUMENTATION WORKSHOP

THEME: RUNNING & INTERPRETATION OF GC-MS SPECTRA

       VENUE: JOMO KENYATTA UNIVERSITY OF     AGRICULTURE & TECHNOLOGY

DATES: 2ND – 6TH MARCH, 2009

 

Applications are invited from University researchers, lecturers and those students pursuing PhD in relevant topics for the above workshop. Applications giving detailed description of teaching and current research work, CV and letters of introduction from one refereee (in case of students) should reach the PACN Kenya office by 31st January, 2009. Opportunities are limited to 15 positions only and selection will be done on first come basis and other considerations if necessary. Those who qualify will be informed by 6th February, 2009.  Travel allowances will be provided by PACN Kenya for those who request and are deeemed deserving.

 

The workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Steve Lancaster and Professor Anthony Gachanjah. Dr. Steve Lancaster is an analytical scientist and a senior technologist with 18 years post doctoral experience in molecular and atomic mass spectrometry and chromatography within the petrochemical industry. He is a technique leader in Elemental Analysis & GC-MS. He is also the founder and managing director of Foundation for Analytical Science & Technology in Africa (FASTA). 

 

Prof. Anthony Gachanjah is an Associate Professor in Analytical/Environmental Chemistry at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology with research interests in analytical instrumentation, natural pesticides, water research, and air quality. He is also actively engaged in analytical equipment validation and maintenance, waste water treatment consultancy and attached to National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) as an expert.

قيام دورة تدريبية في تطبيقات الإنترنت بجامعة السودان في الفترة من الاربعاء 10/9/2008 إلى الثلاثاء 23/9/2008

تقيم  كلية علوم الحاسوب وتقانة المعلومات-جامعة السودان للعلوم والتكنولوجيا دورة تدريبية في مجال

·       يقدمها الدكتور الزائر د. نايل سلمان مصطفى الاستاذ بجامعة كناكيا بتركيا

·        تقام الدورة في القترة من الأربعاء 10/9/2008 إلى الثلاثاء 23/9/2008 بواقع

   4 ساعات يوميا(عدا الجمعه والسبت)من الساعة 12 ظهرا حتى 4 عصرا.

·        تشتمل الدورة على :

في مجال الطب والاحصاءالحيوي بالتعاون مع لجنة الدراسات الطبية والصحية وجامعة وادي النيل في الفترة من 25-10-2007م الي 3-11-2007م

مقدمة  :

 

نسبة لاهمية الالمام باسس البحث العلمي قبل البدء في عمل الابحاث ,ومن خلال تقيمنا للبحوث التي قدمت للتعليم العالي للتمويل من من اساتذة الجامعات راينا انه من المفيد ان تعقد ادارة التدريب كورسات مكثفة لتدريب الاساتذة(مساعدي التدريس,المحاضرون والاستاذ المساعد) في الاسس السليمة للبحث العلمي.

           يسرنا ان نعلن للجامعات بان هنالك عددا من الورش ستعقد في جامعات ولائية يقوم بالتدريس فيها وتدريب   الدارسين نخبة ممتاذة من المدربين من العالم ممن نالوا شهادة التدريب من الهيئات العالمية وفق اسس اقرتها هيئة الصحة العالمية ومعاهد الابحاث الاوربية والامريكية (الدنمارك,كندا).

الاهداف من هذه الورش :-

1- تدريب الدارسين علي اسس البحث العلمي بصورة علمية بمشاركة الباحثين انفسهم . 

2- تمكين الدارسين من كتابة بروتوكول المشروعات البحثية القابلة للتمويل في نهاية مدة الدراسة

3- تدريب الدارسين علي تقدير ميزانية المشروعات البحثية وتحديد الجهة الممولة التي تقدم لها المشروعات .

4- تمليك الدارسين مهارة كتابة تقارير المتابعة والتتقييم

بعد تميل البحث Progress report

5- تعليم الدارسين كيفية قراءة الاوراق العلمية ونقدها بصورة علمية .

            ستعقد الورشة الاولي يوم 25-10-2007م ولمدة عشرة ايام بجامعة وادي النيل بعطبرة لعدد 30 باحث وسيقوم بالتدريب اساتذة من نيجيريا ممن لهم باع وسمعة طيبة في مجال الابحاث العلمية .

           علي الدارس ان ان يكون متفرغا تماما للورشة  صباحا ومساء لمدة عشرة ايام ويعفي من كل واجباته ويستحسن ان يترك تلفونه السار مع اسرته .ستكون الدراسة بطريقة المشاركة والعصف الذهني,من فوائد هذه الورشة ونسبة لتفرغ الدارسين ,ان يلتقي عدد من اساتذة الجامعات المختلفة التعارف والتشاور وتبادل الراي مما سيقوي العلاقات بين مؤسسات التعليم العالي.

         ستقوم ادارة التدريب بتمويل الورشة بدفع استحقاق المتدربين وعلي الجامعات ان تتحمل ترحيل ونثرية سفر مرشيحيها .

تعتبر هذه فرصة طيبة للاستفادة من العلم والمعرفة حيث يتم الترشيح من كليات الطب ,الصيدلة,الاسنان,المختبرات الطبية,الحة العامة والتمريض.

     سيمنح الدارسين الذين يكملون الدورة بنجاح شهادات حضور لهذه الدورة موقعة من رئيس لجنة الدراسات الطبية ومدير عام ادارة التدريب بالوزارة.

     يجب ان تصلنا الترشيحات قبل 28-9-2007م وسيخطر من سيقع عليه الاختيار في غضون عشرة ايام من ذلك التاريخ.

تقيم الامانة العامة للاتحاد العربي للتعليم التقني الدورة التدريبية العربية  في تقنيات اللحام   بالتعاون مع وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي; يشارك في الدورة  اساتذة تقنين من عدد من الجامعات السودانية.تقام الدورة فى الفترة من 9/12/2006 إلى 13/12/2006 م
